Fresh Fire Ministries Receives Tax Exempt Status
|
Houston, Texas June 21, 2007
Fresh Fire Ministries of Houston, Texas has been granted federal tax exemption status and recognition as a 501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Organizations described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, other than testing for public safety organizations, are eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions in accordance with Code section 170. To be tax exempt under the Internal Revenue Code, an organization must be organized and operated exclusively for purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3), and none of its earnings may become advantageous to any private shareholder or individual.
Fresh Fire Ministries Founder and President Jay Duane Driver said, "Receiving the federal tax exemption is extremely significant for Fresh Fire. It will allow us to broaden the scope and reach of our vision and also increase the opportunities to provide needs based and results oriented ministry to our community and the body of Christ as a whole. Equally important is that we can continue to grow and operate the ministry with the highest level of ethics, stewardship, and integrity."
Fresh Fire Ministries has been given the assignment to minister Faith, Inspiration, Restoration, and Encouragement to the Body of Christ. To re-ignite the flames of passion for the work of the ministry, for the advancement of the gospel of Jesus Christ, through the expository teaching of the Word of God, and to provide the essential resources for discovering God's purpose for living. The vision theme of the ministry is "Re-igniting the Passion for Purpose."
