Founder and President of Fresh Fire Ministries, Jay Duane Driver, has announced the launch of its Media Outreach Ministry. This ministry will help to increase the borders of Fresh Fire Ministries and allow the word of God to be shared with audiences outside of the ministry's weekly devotionals that are currently distributed utilizing the platform of the Internet, and their leadership conferences and seminars. God's favor has provided an opportunity for the ministry to begin a radio version of the widely popular weekly devotional on radio station WUVS-FM 103.7, in Jay's hometown of Muskegon, Michigan. The official launch date is set for Sunday, October 21, 2007. The radio ministry will consist of 5 minute inspirational segments where Jay will expound on the word of God and encourage the radio listening audience. Air times will be Sundays at 7:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 6:30 p.m. respectively. In addition, the messages will also air during the Monday morning drive-time between 8:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.
Jay Duane Driver said, "We are extremely excited about this ministry opportunity. We wanted to pilot our radio ministry in Muskegon because it will afford me the privilege to share what God has invested in me with my hometown. It will also provide the opportunity to determine how effective our media outreach ministry can be. We are currently in discussions with several stations in the Houston area where we may also be given the opportunity for further expansion."
The launch date for the radio ministry to be entitled "Fresh Fire", has been set to coincide with the Leadership Excellence Conference presented by Fresh Fire Ministries on October 24th, 25th, and 26th at Spring Street Baptist Church with host Pastor Dewayne D. Banks at 7:00 p.m. nightly. The conference focus will be "Understanding the Attitude, Anointing, and Assignment for Effective Ministry".
Fresh Fire Ministries has been given the assignment to minister Faith, Inspiration, Restoration, and Encouragement to the Body of Christ. To re-ignite the flames of passion for the work of the ministry, for the advancement of the gospel of Jesus Christ, through the expository teaching of the Word of God, and to provide the essential resources for discovering God's purpose for living. The vision theme of the ministry is "Re-igniting the Passion for Purpose."
